Happy New Year!

…Fiscal Year that is. October 1 marks the new federal fiscal year, when many of the federal, state, and municipal bills passed in 2018 actually go into effect. Our fave? Washington D.C. bill B21-0696 – Feminine Hygiene and Diapers Sales Tax Exemption Amendment Act of 2016. That’s right- this bill originated in 2016 and took 2 years to be realized. But it’s finally here.

Starting Monday, no sales tax will be charged on feminine hygiene products.
